Community

Heritage

Community has always been at the core of who we are. It’s our responsibility to have a positive influence as an employer in the communities where we operate.

We use our time, talent, and treasures to partner with charitable organizations that align with our values and provide measurable and meaningful impact to help people and communities thrive. We organize group volunteer activities, table sponsorships at fundraisers, and encourage associates to hone their leadership skills by serving on nonprofit boards.

In Boise, Idaho where we’re headquartered, our strategic focus areas for corporate giving include:

  • Safe & accessible shelter. Because many families do not have a place to call home, we support organizations that provide access to emergency shelter, food, or other basic needs.
  • Environment & natural resources. To foster a public understanding of these issues related to our business which includes wood products, we support organizations that work to sustain our natural resources for future generations.
  • Workforce development & diversity. We support initiatives that make employment, leadership, and community engagement opportunities accessible and inclusive for people of all backgrounds, helping to retain and attract diverse talent in Idaho.
